Fantasy from Charleston... by
Tammy Brown from Rock Hill, SC
Sailing date: Jun 2010 Pros:
Driving to ship-from SC>did not have to fly
Cons:
Cruise ship, food, entertainment
Old ship, out of date, small, pool too small, not enough entertainment during "at sea" days.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Boring food, not good, same items every night at sit down dinner.
Stateroom Quality Air condition was not cool. Had maint. come three times. it was 82 and they said that was fine and average for that room!!

Key West, Florida Rented a golf cart which was fun...crusied the whole area.
Nassau, Bahamas I've been there 3 times now and in 15 years nothing has changed. Too many residents begging for money. Kids begging...sad.

Our First Cruise by
John H. from Dallas Tx.
Sailing date: Jul 2008 Pros:
The housekeeping was excellent.
Cons:
The pool was out of order for a full day, and there was no info for places of interest in ports.
The first impression of the ship was outstanding. As time proceeded, several areas were closed off for general maintenance including the pool and slide for a full day. Elevators kept being "out of order" with no sign to let Guests be aware. I waited 5 minutes for an elevator until a worker finally told me that it was broken (the ship has 10 floors).
Ship Quality The ship is designed well with plenty of options for things to do. Accessibility was challenging with elevators being slow and out of order.
Dining/Food The food was too exotic as we (and many others) passed on it for hot dogs, hamburgers, and pizzas. If you want to try unusual foods, this is for you.
Stateroom Quality Our room was Oceanside with window and was great.
Ship Staff Quality The staff greeted us everytime we passed. The room staff (housekeeping) was excellent. They even cleaned our room twice in one day.
Entertainment & Activities The singing and dancing shows were top notch.

Cozumel, Mexico Do research on points of interest or purchase an expensive excursion.
Don't Miss: The clear blue water.
Progreso (Merida), Mexico The Mayan ruins are a definate "must see". The excursion info did not do it justice. There was so much more to see and explore. You can actually walk up the Pyramids.
Don't Miss: The Dzibilchaltun ruins are a dont miss.

Outstanding entertaintment by
Ronald S from Kingston, Ontario
Sailing date: Feb 2008 Pros:
Staff excellent, ship in great shape, wonderful food.
Cons:
Too many kids, school break.
Embarkation very slow, no chairs for elderly, etc.
Returning guests treated to special treats by invitation, great idea.
Terrific value for the money paid. Debarkation well organized. If going to the airport, take the bus located right outside the exit door, $10 per person.
Ship Quality Wonderful ship. Always somewhere to go and be content.
Dining/Food Great food, disappointed about the pizza outlet however, not fresh or poor cheese?
Stateroom Quality Rooms clean and in very good condition.
Ship Staff Quality The best we have come across.
Entertainment & Activities Best entertainment ever seen.

Good time On Cruise by
A Traveler from Wilmington, NC
Sailing date: Apr 2007 Pros:
Varried Available Activities
Cons:
Other Tourists
I enjoyed the cruise and the excursions I took. I recommend the adverture tours. I went on the ATV jungle tour and a tour of a Mayan Ruin. Take advantage of the day excursions.
Casino was great! Room was clean and roomservice amazing. VERY friendly staff!
Ship Quality I liked everything! Clean and neat.
Dining/Food I was impressed with the 24 hr all you can eat idea. I was disappointed in the variety. I live in a resort area and eat in 4 or 5 star restaurants every day. I was impressed for what they did on a ship, but was angry that on one of the "International" cusine days at lunch the theme was "American"
Stateroom Quality I was impressed with the view, comfort and cleanliness. Got great roomservice and maid service.
Ship Staff Quality Although English was a second language for most of the staff, only my dinner staff was not proficient enough to understand... but they were very friendly.
Entertainment & Activities Great Casino! The entertainment was too family oriented, which might be good if I weren't on my Honeymoon. First comic wasn't funny, but Second comic was very funny. There was PLENTY to do each day, even if some of the activities were just a way to pass time until a better one.

Costa Maya, Mexico Very Small town. I went to Chupchamen (sp?) and LOVED it. You have to take a cab to the beach in the next town if you want beach time. There is a big pool in the tourist area with swim up bars. Kind of like a VERY tiny Cancun
Don't Miss: The Myan Ruin tour.
Cozumel, Mexico ADVENTURE! Don't bother shopping.. it's all the same.
Don't Miss: any ATV excursion. You'll get dirty. Don't wear anything you can't ruin...

A Great Thanksgiving Holiday Get Away by
Kathy M. from Pittsburgh, PA
Sailing date: Nov 2006 Pros:
The day in Cozumel, wide variety of activities, and great service highlighted our four night cruise aboard The Fantasy.
Cons:
A couple of activities were cancelled due to low participation. Obviously, this was not the staff's fault.
The fantasy is a beautiful ship that is well maintained. We were impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff and crew. This is a cruise that I would highly recommend.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food There was a nice variety of food selections and dining options.

Lots of fun, great cruise itinerary by
Sherri Sanchez from Nebraska
The Fantasy was extremely clean, servers were attentive to every need, and all-around rating for this cruise is an A+. The evening shows and comedians are something not to miss, as well as the midnight buffet. Relaxing atmosphere at night; besides the casino and shows, not much else to do after 9PM besides eat or maybe go dancing--for those of you who don`t have two left feet. :) Our room was cold in the night, but warm in the day. Hard to get blankets at 3 in the morning unless you call for your room steward, which is not listed as one of the phone numbers in the room. Great cruise for honeymooners!
